BBQ Brethren Small Build (less that 75 Gallon)

Welcome to this great thread,
We are trying to get all of the Build threads together in one location this is one of 3 threads. Categories are going to be:
Small (less than 75 Gallons)
Medium ( between 76 - 249 Gallons)
Large (larger that 250 Gallons)

My goal to this is to get all the builds together in one location so someone like myself that has an idea can just go to that corresponding thread and BAM!!! I don't know what the right way to do this is, what do you all think..
I would say maybe start a new thread about your build, post all of your questions, comments and of course Pictures. Then come into this thread and put a link to it. That way someone is not trying to follow 4 builds at once in one thread and get confused. I bet if we get quite a bit of response from this we can make a Sticky. Then when the new forums are up and running we may have our own sub forum, but this is a great way to check the temp to see if everyone likes the idea.
Please tell me what everyone thinks. This is going to be the same at the top of each thread..

The UDS has its own thread. Called the Bible, talk about the drums should probably remain there.

I agree with stiffy, the UDS thread is probably the Holy Grail of this forum. I would like to see that thread maybe have a subset of the original with the subset only having build instructions and pron only. Do not want to take away compliments given to others for their efforts in the original thread. I think this way you could find pertinent info for a paticular idea or build quicker. IMO

Do you all like the idea of having everyone start there own thread and then put a link in this the main thread? Then all we will have when you open this thread is a bunch of links. Kind of a sub forum without the sub leting everything.

Why are the threads broken down based on gallon size? Not everyone builds using the gallon measurement. Just thinking because a lot of people have built Stumps or Backwoods clones and these don't use gallon measurments. Maybe it would make sense to break them down to type of smoker? Like offset, reverse flow, vertical, gravity feed, etc. Just a thought.

I agree with you since I am now starting to look at defferent types of smokers. I also found a distributor similar to Southern Pride that will let you download plans that you can customize with a CAD program. I'm searching now to see if I can find where I hid it.

That is fine, however everyone wants to classify them that is fine.. I was just going for small, med and large. But I am new to this whole thing if the different type of smokers is the best then hell lets do it..

Or, you could just take measurements of dimensions and convert cubic feet to gallons...

All the parts were obtained from local thrift stores. Except for the lid which was a reclaimed Weber foil pan. Took a bit of time to source everything, but didn't cost more than $15. And I still have the leftover crock and lid to play with.
