View Full Version : Corned Beef - Rub Suggestions

I've done a couple of corned beef and was pleased with the results. When I did, I just added the spice packet that came with the meat and some brown sugar for the rub. I'd be interested in a better idea than that. Any suggestions? thanks

I have a corned beef that I intend to BBQ on indirect heat and then eat fresh off the grill.

Smoked corned beef is pastrami. So depending upon how much smoke and how long you cook it you could have pastrami.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of fresh cracked pepper, lots and lots of fresh cracked pepper. Nothing more. But I'm making pastrami and it's going to end up on sammies.

I like black pepper and turbinado sugar or black pepper and Simply Marvelous Sweet and Spicy rub.
