Burp it !

If you own a BGE be sure you don't forget to burp it. 550 degrees Saturday, I got careless. Singed my left forearm and eyebrows, lucky my shirt didn't catch fire. I won't forget again.:doh:

AE, I find this happens more with certain brands of lump. Of the dozen or so brands I have tried the expensive BGE brand has the lowest flashback rate while Lazzari has the highest. I hate the smell of burning hair- particularly my own.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was cooking up some steaks on my egg and the Primo with the Lazzari lump. I lifted the lid on the Primo and saw nothing but a ball of flame. I lost my eyebrows, bangs and most of the hair on my arm. The smell of burnt hair was with me for a while. No wI burp REAL slow.

I think we all have to do it once so we don't do it again.I think the adult beverages had something to do with it.
