It's a new Memphis Pro! It arrived last Friday and between bad weather, work and interruptions, I've not had the chance to try it out. I'm definately smoking something tomorrow though!

It was really easy for me to put together... the unit rolled right out of the box and all I had to do was attach the side shelves and plug it in. :-D

I'm so excited! I'm taking the day off tomorrow, and turning my phone off so I can spend the day playing with the new Memphis Pro!

Any tips are welcome...

RANT>>> Some things in life are just not fair. This girl can make a farkin souffle in CI using a truck wheel for a pit, and then produces pron from that that makes us all green with envy. NOW, she goes and gets a super shiney "set it and forget it" machine designed to take all the guess work out of cooking. I know one thing, my bank account ain't big enough!

As an aside, nice, very nice Jeanie!

Thank you Paul and Pat! :)

Thank you Neil and SteelSmokin.. trying the Memphis Pro was suggested by a good friend. It looks like it will be able to do amazing things, a set it and forget it unit. Goes from 180 degrees to 650..
I'm looking forward to seeing what all it will do, from smoking to grilling.
It's a bit different from my tractor rim fire ring, drum or cooking in a hole in the ground. lol

Bill, the Pro is both a grill and a smoker.. uses wood pellets. That's something new to me. I've always burned wood or coal. It's going to be a learning experience for me. :-D

Thank you John and Guerry! I've been going crazy looking at it all week.. I'm smoking a pork loin for my first test. :-D

Thanks Bob, Al, Ken and Phu!

lol Bo... It's a new adventure for me....

Thank you Bull, Jeep and Phil!

Thanks friends....

You have excellent taste in pellet grills, Jeanie! I love mine. It is amazing to me how well it holds temperature and how even the temp is across the cooking surface. So far I have used mine primarily for grilling. Mine will go from ambient temp to 650 in about 20 minutes (based on an ambient temp around 60 degrees F).

Jeanie,
Congrats on your new toy. I have a hard time believing two things, though. (1) You have time for a job, given all you do; and (2) you bought a new smoker. I say that because I know how incredible and talented you are -and I can't imagine you ever being able to beat the food you already produce. Okay, I do get number 2, new toys are important :)

Jeanie, I saw this on your blog and got so jealous I started researching. Even though that sweet machine is expensive I believe it to be the best pellet pusher that I've found. Now I want to see some of your great grub.

lol Dan... Thank you! I'm lucky to be able to work from home (most of the time).. that way I can keep an eye on my fence jumping range bred cows. lol
I'm pretty sure a girl can never have too many cookers.

I used the cooker last night and really like it so far.

Chasmosis, thank you! I don't want you to be jealous.. I'm just addicted to smoking. lol I guess I could have worse habits.

Rick, I'll send some pork loin to ya. Thanks! :)

Adrian, thank you... this is a new way of cooking for me.. I'm enjoying it.

Thanks again everyone!
