Just thought that you guys would like to know that I'll be cooking Bacon Explosion on the Today Show this Friday. They're having us on to promote our new cookbook "BBQ Makes Everything Better", but we'll be preparing Bacon Explosion and MOINK Balls for a national audience!

I can't wait for Applebee's to start promoting "their" new "Baco-Tastic Sausage-Log menu"! I'm sure they'll land a heavy-hitter like Iron Man to do the tie-in...

Once they realize that their calorie counting, rabbit food munchin', tree huggin', poor-excuse-for-food menu is a gross sin against all that is good and holy, they'll adopt "THE BACON WAY"... I pray daily for this to happen...

That's terrific Jason. Picked up the book last night and it really is a great book. Any book that has the bacon explosion and Moink balls is a keeper in my opinion.

My wife was amazed how easy it is to make a MOINK ball. She also said we need to use thick cut bacon on our next fatty.

I agree. Way cool. Still have never heard fatty used on national tv in regards to a sausage. Might have been able to slip it in with that crew. They loved the double meaning with the "balls.":twisted: Nice twist in the recipe, by the way, making a MOINK ball/pig candy combination. :clap2::clap2::clap2:

Thanks everyone for tuning in! We had a great time in NYC, and staff loved everything we prepared! It was great exposure for our book, and I'm glad to hear that you guys are enjoying it as well.

As far as calling a fatty a Bacon Explosion, it's only a Bacon Explosion when it's wrapped in a bacon weave and filled with fried bacon. And even then, it's still a fatty. I called it a Bacon Explosion when a bunch of us were eating it at 1:00 am after a night of cocktails, and the name stuck.
