It is just as it was in 1961. New in the box never opened or assembled. Still has news paper packing around rear legs and handle. I have not even had the courage to open that up yet....lol. Kinda weird owing a grill that I am one year older than:-D If anyone here has any info on the company that made it please chime in. So far what I have gleaned is very little. The sticker on grill says 70th anniversary 1891-1961

That's a unique piece! Congrats on the score. Out of curiosity, what did you pay for it?

$39.95 plus $15.00 shipping. I have found that this company made a grill that looked like a stagecoach and one that looked like a train. But that is all I know so far.

I think it'd be great for a gameroom display (complete with fake food).

Incredible, where has that grill been hanging out for the last 49 years? What does it use for fuel?

Good question. The folks I won the auction from buy there stuff from estate sales mostly. I hope they can tell me more about where this was and where it came from. I know one thing...It ain't never gonna get used. Seems to me it should just stay the way it is.

Nooooooooo! the grill must be used to fulfill its destiny!

It must feel the heat of the fire, smell the sweet blue smoke, the sensation of pork fat dripping through its grill. How can you deny this sweet little grill its only purpose? its only joy!

That and if you don't use it it will be on ebay in 40 years.:heh:
