Has anyone ever used lemon wood for a smoke? My cousin has a lemon tree he doesn't want anymore and offered it to me. A quick search I found this:

ORANGE, LEMON and GRAPEFRUIT - Produces a nice mild smoky flavor. Excellent with beef, pork, fish and poultry.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever cooked with it and their thoughts/opinions on flavor. Thanks.

It's probably poisonous. Send it to me, I'll try it and report back with the safety results.

Agree.

I think we should do dual tests for control purposes.

Jive, let me know when, where I can take this dangerous wood off your hands!

Thanks guys. I'll try it out and see how it goes. If all else fails I'll have free wood for the fireplace come winter.

JT- cut it down first! and split it works better that way

if all these guys are getting your wood - then send me all the seeds, you can make gasoline out of the fruit peels
