So who finally got in? I haven't heard word one from the organizers. Either way, I'm going! :boxing:

I sent in my application/entry fee about two weeks ago, but I have not heard if I am in or not. Getting a little antsy! Is it typical for the organizers not to be in contact with the teams this close to an event?

I inquired about the contest on the "Celebrate CB" website this morning and received this....


The BBQ contest is on. We have a new organizer this year and she was appointed at the 11th hour. She is doing a bit of catch up, but will definitely be in touch with you. I am forwarding this on to them and they will be in touch very soon.

Thanks for the heads up Pat, we sent our check in about 4 weeks ago and it still hasnt cleared the bank so I guess we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Edit - some place called Blayless Park. But I do get your point. I haven't done too many comps but the ones I have done usually have some info to me by now. In fact, I've already heard from some of the other comps that are scheduled later in the summer.

The Woodfellas will be there, although they haven't cashed my check. I sent in the registration about a month ago, and called them and left a message.

Don't know how many teams they'll get.
