Well, I've been learning and asking and figure it is time to say "HI".

Quick bio--late 50's, married 30 years (2nd try). Retired from Military/DOD flying in '95. 2nd careers (both short) back into being a machinist and as a Crew Boat Captain in the oilfields. Both were disasters!
I am too "structured and mission oriented" for those worlds any more.

Five Kiddos. all married with only one divorced. Four Grand Kiddos, 3 healthy and one "hanging onto life" as a 24 week Preemie.

Been "Grillin" forever. Got involved and interested in real BBQ at my retirement party in '95. Co-Worker rented a trailer mount rig and did a whole Farkin pig for the party by the lake. I am instantly hooked.

Took a while, but researched and got my Bandera--finally!!

Glad to be here.

Marianna is just off I-10 in the FL Panhandle--Give me a heads-up and Brethern are always welcome!!

Welcome Tim.

My sister is a neo-natal intensive care nurse and I hear stories like yours alot. Tons of advancements in the field since she started 15 years ago, so I hope all turns out.

Glad to have you in the group brother.

Thanks for all the good wishes.
Our "wee one" (thanks to whoever used that perfect term) did not make it.
Jackson had 2 great weeks and one bad one.
We did get to spend the last hour with him, and then he was gone.
Long trip home!

For anyone who is intersested, bored, or whatever--www.jacksondeancochran.com tells the story of his short time here.

It is amazing to see the things medicine can do now. We thank all of those professional for their efforts.

I had hoped to teach him to Q, fish, etc, but there are other grandkiddos and more will be more coming. I'll just teach one of them twice as much!!! That presumes that I figure it out myself :)

Thanks guys--

TIM

Tim, if there are appropriate words, I can't find them. The Little One and your family are in the hearts and prayers of the Brothers.

Tim,
Sorry to hear about Jackson

Wife and I experienced a DNC on our final try, but that is a little different.

Just went to the website. Very touching.

Take care Brother.

Tim,

I'm sorry about your little Jackson. The passing of little ones especially makes me wonder whether there really is a 'plan'. The memorial page is wonderful.

From the land of Paul Bunyan, a warm welcome!
