I like the green kettle but just can't justify the extra $180 for the attached plastic table.

Wow, I missed the gas assist. I've never scene this on a webber but I hope they did plenty of testing with those small canisters in close proximity to a pile of hot charcoal for extended periods. :icon_blush:

I don't own one (yet), but many of the Brethren do. They are by Weber, so they're well built and thought out. Of course, like I said, I don't have one, so maybe I'll be quiet :) Maybe :) LOL

Performers are great, and are worth every penny. I couldnt imagine life w/out a performer.

Does this mean Weber has stopped making the Green Performer? As long as they last, it could become a collector's item.

I don't think so - it's probably a grills direct promotion. I think the green looks pretty cool...

Just wondered because of this: Factory Closeout!

Hmmm...and there's an additional 10% off promo code. I'm getting VERY tempted, esp if they're going to discontinue the green.

I did it. I couldn't help myself. No tax, 10% off the already reduced price, $10 shipping. $261.00. I am now the proud owner of a Green Weber Performer. Yee-haw!

Someone in LA on CL had one in very condition and they were asking $200. When I wrote them, it had already sold that day for their asking price.

Here's the promo code I used for the additional 10% off:

Yes I did. I have a black one at home, now I'll have a green one for my cabin. :clap2:

That's awesome! I realized I saved over $100 on this compared to if I bought it retail.

That's exactly it moose. I bought this one and a cover for almost $100 less than I bought the last one for, counting taxes.

I scored a hardly-used 1998 green weber performer on Craigs list for $80 a couple of months ago... I.Love.It.

I even use the gas assist to light my chimney starters when I am smoking on my 22.5 WSM...

I have this exact cooker...same color and everything. In real life, it's actually a slightly different color green than it looks in the picture.

I love this grill. If I have any complaints at all about it, it is the fact that the lid holder doesn't quite get the lid as far out of the way as I would like, but other than that, it's great. It's my primary cooker and I use it for everything...at least 3 times a week. If something happened to it, I buy a new one tomorrow (even if it wasn't on sale.)

Congratulations!

I could be wrong but the grill shown is the "older" style, this year's model has some new cosmetics. Either way it's a great deal.. agreed that the performer is the working horse of the fleet. :-D

I recently inherited a new performer that I got from my friend who is going through a divorce. He just bought it and was going to put it in storage. I told him he could store it at my house and that I'd take good care of it. Sweeet.

So just remember next time you're at your friends house and his wife goes ballistic on his arse for something meaningless think of it as an opportunity to score his collection of cookers someday! LOL!
