Anyone have it? I just purchased it off of Deepdiscount, seemed to be the cheapest place I could find it. Hoping it's worth it.

When I first got my Egg I printed off the Bill Wise compiled BGE recipe book from 2003 and some subsequent Eggfest recipe books. Went through a ream of paper! Still thumb through it from time to time.

I have seen the new cookbook and the production quality is very high. The binding, paper and many color photo plates are top notch. Haven't cooked any of the recipes, so I can't comment on them, but the food in the book LOOKS terrific!

The book is only supposed to be available at the BGE retailers for the first couple months so the other places may not ship right away. It's a big beautiful book. I cooked a bunch of the recipes for the cooking segments on "Fishing the Flats" and they were all very good.

as Swamprb said, all the compiled cookbooks from the previous Eggfest are good readin'. You can find them over at the Nakedwhiz if you haven't already.

Rick,

I'm heading to the Sunshine State eggfest next week so I'll try to find a copy of the book. I'll let you know if I find anything.

:lol::lol:...I've got a million of them! The first Eggfest I was grilling pineapples and peaches using superfine sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of cayenne as a sprinkle...then drizzled them with honey after they came off the egg. The people went NUTS over them and Gwen "Dimples Mom" asked me for the recipe to put in a "future BGE cookbook". I have NO idea if it's in there or not...I was just bein' a smart arse...

most of the eggfests get a recipe collection book made from the people that cooked there. i get the impression the new coffee table cookbook is a whole lot more professional.

Are you sure?

I just scanned through the book and the only picture of pineapple on the grill is accompanied by bananas.

Are you a Banana?

Maybe you're one of the people seen grilling in the book and I didn't recognize the pineapple.

I thought lying only applied to fishing. Am I wrong?

Park it! Grill it! Eat it!
