Shoulda' took pics before I rubbed & wrapped 'em:mad: I'll get some before they go on.

Cooking on my Ole' Faithful WSM using blue Kingsford with some pecan chunks. Rubbed down with the Southern Succor recipe from the Virtual Weber Bullet website.

They're going on sometime after midnight CST but I'll keep ya'll updated.

That pic made my morning actually had tears fro laughing so hard. People at work thought I was crazy looking at my phone and laughing that hard. Thanks a lot.

It's about 2:15 PM and I just took 'em off and wrapped 'em to rest.

Dinner's at 6:00 so I'll take the last pics right before and right after I pull, then I'll post sometime this evening.....nap time now:wink:

What kind of rub did you use on the pork? Any injection?

Let us know how the Southern Succor rub turned out for you. I tried it once and it wasn't my favorite - I was using Bad Byron's at the time and have used it since when I didn't feel like mixing a rub - and I love Larry Wolfe's Wolfe Rub Original and the Big Bib Gibson's rub (commercial and from the cookbook). If I recall coorectly, I thought the SS was a little pepper heavy. It may just be my personal tastes. I agree with you on the pecan wood. It's my favorite and living in Alabama, I often can score some free from friends with farms and pecan trees.

Having some temp issues with the lump, switched to hickory briquettes and chunks.
Homemade rub, no injection.
Keeping good notes! I'm like Tuffy, got a spreadsheet going!
