Go to CBBQA, California BBQ Assoc. website for that info. Great site with alot of the locals that frequent the Brethren site as well.

Thom's contest in Hesperia is the next one that's reasonably close to L.A. Very gusty winds up in the high desert and cold as chit overnight at last year's.

The next local one that's firmly on the calendar is in June in Costa Mesa, http://www.quenforkids.com/

See you on CBBQA.

This one I know about, but wow, 6 months away. It's a shame that their aren't that many comps around this area. Thanks

According to their website, BB King is scheduled to perform at Harrah's Rincon on Sat., August 14th. Should a contest actually happen, that would be my guess as to the date.

That would be up against Fairfield, then. Hmmmm.... one contest vs. two contests vs. travel time and gas... that'll be an interesting equation.

Vista & Alpine are my favorite SoCal events. Of course, I have never been to Costa Mesa which I hear is a great one as well. Bakersfield is pretty good, but that's not really SoCal.

Alexa - Why wouldn't you want to travel all the way to Fairfield? I mean the nice cool breeze in your face is just wonderful.
