this is a prototype gizm-o-lator. it fits 22.5 grills. would like your comments as to what you think. it would have two lids, one over the rib-o-lator and one over the grill, that way you would minimize heat loss.

Hey...cool...good to see your idea come to fruition Bob. :-P Is the square flanged box thingy part of the ring? Is there a lid in the works? Is there any way you can make the pics a bit larger? Inquiring minds must know!

Help me understand the design. It's not really a ring, but more of a box. That means that i can't use my original Weber lid any more. To me that will change the way the grill cooks with the lid on. The dome shape and placement of the vent is one of the things that makes a Weber Kettle cook the way it does.

Is there going to be a Rib-o-lator that will fit into an existing rotisserie ring for the 22.5" kettle (like the one that Weber sold or the third party ring that is on the market now?

Yes we need some larger pic, have you cook with it yet. But it does look quite heavy

i will work on larger pics.
if i make it it would be either stainless or black coated metal like the weber ring. i need to make a lid so i can try it out, i'll get back to u on that.

i assume the grill is to smoke some odd pieces ? not to use as an actual grilling grill, right ? i think at this point yer trying to accomplish to much. just keep it as a adapter for just the rib o lator and forget the grill. cost will become an issue. but then again, what do i know ?.

I'm thinking of a hinged lid similar to a Hasty Bake.

Why not mount a weber kettle on sliders on the bottom of one of these and then put rib-O-lator in it.

Would just the rack slide on the spit rod of a Weber roti without needing the rest?

I don't want to sound negative ,but i don't think people will go to the trouble of putting it on. i think it be better to build a rib cooker.

I thought it looked like gavanized material. Typically galvanized stuff is a no no with the fire, as it will give off toxic gas.

I would like the cut down one, to fit on my UDS. So I can get 4 racks in it for the comps, instead of 3. Made out of Stainless for me please. :-D
