Here is a link for a wok lid that looks like it will work on a UDS. The lid for the 24" wok is 22" in diameter. I am going to order one and give it a try. I will probably drill 1/2" holes like you would on a flat lid.

looks like the domed lids only go up to 16". If your going to drop some money on a lid I would opt for a domed lid over a flat lid.

An alternative is a disc harrow blade like this one:

PS: As a plus, turn the disc harrow over and you've got a big-ass wok :idea:

You can get a brand spankin' new Weber lid from them for under $50 ($42 was what I paid last summer IIRC).

I wonder how the wok lid would hold up to the smoke and heat. They are usually a much lighter aluminum then the wok.

I got a SS lid form Arctic for $27.50, plus $15 shipping. It seems to be exactly the same size as a Weber lid. It was just a little small for my drum, so I added a strip of metal around the inside of the drum for it to rest on.

just go buy you a uniflame kettle grill for $39.00 from wallmart & BAM ya got a grill & a uds lid both.

p.s. i'm a cheap bassard w/ bad craigslist finds around here..:twisted:

I was getting these Uniflame kettle grills from our local Walmart for $10 when they went on clearance.
