Anyone have any experience on this. My old man is getting a ceramic and has about decided on this - never heard of them.

I am happy as can be with my BGE, and I know plenty of people happy with their primos and grill domes. Not sure why he likes this better.

I've read that they have cracking issues and the tiles can fall of pretty easy.

From all of the reviews I have read, the BGE is hands down the best ceramic grill/smoker both in customer service and reliability.

Greg, you may be thinking of a different Ceramic cooker. The cooker in the link that Keller Steeler provided doesn't have any tiles. I think you were thinking of this one...

Keller Steeler, I don't know anyone who has bought one. There was a who posted about them a couple of times, but the general consensus was that he was associated with the company, so his info may be biased.

Here are a couple of threads...

well, this certainly was a missed opportunity for the KJ folks.

I know BBQ Outfitters passed on carrying them. I would pass due to not knowing if they will be around in this economy to cover the warranty down the road.

Couldn't tell that they had a plate setter for indirect cooking. Seems that a lot of the knock offs relye on BGE accessories to complete their cookers IMHO.

I considered it when I was shopping. I had 2 problems with them. 1st is that they have only been around a few years. 2nd was that the nest was part of the deal. I wanted to build my own table, so the nest was something I didn't want, and the dealer wouldn't/couldn't sell just the cooker.

Don't know about the value or trust issue, but when I keyed in my zip code I saw they sure do apparently like em in Alabama. Seven dealers from B'ham on up through the state. It IS pretty though.
