So finally getting around to loading all my efforts from the past week, but i have lots of pron and more to come!
So last saturday i tried my hand for the first time at pork shoulder and boy was i pleased. I got a picnic and a but to see which i liked better. I did the picnic with and AJ/ bourbon injection and dusted with my rib rub and brined the butt according to Alton Brown's pulled pork recipe for 12hrs, then rubbed with the same rub as the picnic.
went on the drum at 4 am at 225 over hickory, cooler at 4 pm, pulled at 6 for sammies.

Credit where credit is due, i got this idea from RTD and have made them many times. i cheated this time and used the oven but they were super good. jonagold apples hollowed out with a filling of oats, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
thats all for now, I have a collection of meals created from leftovers too that i hope to get up soon also.
