No I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV.

Been in Tejas for 9 years (3 in Houston/6 in DFW). Prior lives spent in Chicago, Carbondale, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Wife of soon to be 18 years, 13 year old daughter (going on 30). Love to cook, eat, drink, smoke (meat and otherwise). Is any of this sounding familiar?

The story behind the nickname is: I'm the 3rd Charles in the family (or III) . III looks like threesticks, hence the nickname.

Love the group/site. Y'all are genuinely helpful and respectful of each other and that's wonderful to see in these times we live in

It's good to see another Texan and DFW-ite here... although I'm mighty suspicious of a man whereing gloves like that.... Welcome!

I knew I would open myself up using this photo, but it reflects my love of Q'in'.
I use the gloves when pulling pork. (easy) Tends to cut down on the blister on me fingers.
This pic was taken just before I started pulling for a house-full of about 30 friends and
neighbors.

And no I don't believe in sunscreen!

I bought some heavy duty kitchen gloves (black/blue) last time I did pulled pork. Paid off big time. I was pulling the pork when it was still at 180 and got it done without too much whining :D

Bear claws look good -- may have to get a pair later.

Not much whining except if you're in my way as I rush to run my hands under cold
water. :D
