We made a bunch of things saturday night but didn't get many pics except for the pineapple. I also made a new table for my grilling area. I'm going to set the table on fire and then stain it. We made 2 racks of ribs, 1 beer can chicken with pineapple juice and raspberry chipotle hot sauce. Also made ABTs and hotdogs and hamburgers for the kids.
The pineapple was grilled, then covered in ice cream and ammoretto.

Nice looking table and pineapple. Do you really mean set it on fire? Why not just take a torch to it and control the charring?

I think I might really set it on fire. A torch would be too controlled for the look I want I think. I still have to put in all the screw hooks on it so I can hang my tools from it. I also have some iron brackets so I can put some small shelves on both sides.

Ok, maybe I just can't visualize it.

What look are you going for? Do you have a picture?

Sounds pretty interesting!

I'm kinda going for an old beat up and burned table. Then lots of poly on it to make it shiney and protected. I want it to look charred like it has been on fire and kind of an organic shape in the stain. Hard to describe.

Tonight I bought some pipe and fittings for the paper towel roll on the table. I have to either weather it, or paint it somehow. I want it to look beat all to heck too. Maybe some hammered paint. Or maybe just hammered with a sledge. I'll post more pics as it comes along.
