A recent thread by SIDE caught our eye and we were going to make pulled pork pizzas last week. We ran out of time so I decided to make them tonight.

I used Garlic and Herb dough from Trader Joe's and topped it with a layer of sliced provolone. Then I added a 50/50 mix of pizza sauce and BBQ sauce, some sliced onions, pulled pork and a layer of fresh red and yellow tomatoes from a friend's garden. Then i sprinkled on some shredded mozzarella and some dried oregano and basil (because i forgot to buy fresh herbs).

They went into Eggbert at 525 degrees for about 14 minutes. I shaped the dough a little too big so a couple of the edges hung over the stone and were a little dark, but we just trimmed those parts off. The pizzas turned out very good.

They tested great! The crust was a little soft in the middle. I think to fresh tomatoes had too much moisture for the crust to stay crisp.

mmmm Ron! That looks amazing! So I am inspired and plan to have this for dinner one night this week, only with grilled chicken subbbed for the Q and the addition of pineapple chunks!

Nice! YEah, the 50/50 bbq sauce blend gives just enough bbq flavor without crossing the line. Started doing that when I made pulled pork lasagna.
