We had about 25 ABT's left from an airshow we sold food at yesterday SO I decided to spice things up and put them in Onion Ring batter and 1/2 cup of sweet rib rub and fry them up, they turned out AWESOME!! If you haven't tried this you have to, it takes ABT's to the next level!!

Those look great. I had jalapenos stuffed with cheddar and fried the same way at a seafood restaurant this weekend. They were really good but the rub would have made them even better. Great idea!

I used Mc Cormicks Golden Dipt Onion Ring Batter, Real easy and then added 1/2 cup of rub to the mix. The ABT'S were smoked with oak and apple wood prior to frying! I bought it at Walmart I think it was buck or two but all you is add water and mix.

Bossman, so this was the first time you did this? Looks GREAT! I will try this next weekend. Guess the trick would be to let them cool in the fridge to get a nice 'chill' before batter and fry?

Thats what I did, I had these left over from the day before, it did make the battering easier.
