My smoker was stolen from my lot last night. It is a redish colored Southern Yankee. Please keep an eye out. I have a picture of it on my website. Thanks.

I hope the thugs are caught today and severly punished and your pit returned.

Is the loss of your pit going to shut down your business?

Oh man, that's terrible. Makes me sick someone would do that. :icon_pissed I realize our economy up here is bad, but man, stealing one mans livlihood to supplement your own is the lowest. I looked for a pic on your website but I didn't see it. Post it up here in case one of the MI brethren sees it. Might consider putting a listing on Craigslist, perhaps with a small reward? There's lots of people around here so hurting for money, it probably wouldn't take much to entice someone to drop a dime if they see it. I see you've been covered by Fox 2 before - Get ahold of the news stations too - I bet they'd run something on it for ya. You can't hide something that big for too long...

Now that's about as low as it can get...That's sucks!!!Did you post on all the BBQ related websites and forums? It'll be pretty hard to hide something like that even if painted. Hopefully there's some unique features about your pit that you could recognize. I figure about all they could do is sell it or try to make money using it...Meaning it should surface somewhere. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm out and about...That really sucks!!!
I brought my Diamondplate 60 back to the detroit area in july, and everywhere I take it there's much interest and excitement...I've been afraid mine will get stolen, so now hearing this I'm gonna pour some concrete footings with large "U" bolts in them to lock the axle to....This is a sad day!!!

Make sure you check ALL the scrapyards. You'd be surprised. Somebody might take it and cut it up a little and sell it for the price of steel. happens with cars worth thousands every day. A quick buck is a quick buck.

When these thieves are found I hope the last thing they hear is....
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

That really sucks, I second the idea of a Craigslist listing and reward. Maybe even in the local papers. Someone knows.

I'm not too far from you, so I'll keep my eye out, not that I would ever miss a smoker being towed down the road, but at least now I'll know to turn around and follow it! I'm sure you've already thought the same thing, but being so "obvious", they can't plan to keep it around here, so I would suggest that all the brethren in the surrounding states keep an eye out too, but it sounds like they already are. It sucks that someone that can't get something they want has to steal yours. I wish I could offer you a smoker temporarily, but all I have is a drum, so that wouldn't be of much use to you.

I'll keep my eyes open, too. I commute through Wayne and Washtenaw counties every day.
It's not as nice as your missing rig, but if you need something to get you by catering gig let me know. Mine is certainly big enough. And, I'm sure there's a couple other Michigan Brethren that could offer help, too.

Sorry for the loss .... I will keep an eye out down here in Georgia. Forget the reward with me brother. I think a hickory axe handle would help correct a sorry thief.
