This is the same sauce I use on the Sriracha wings that I posted on a week or so ago. So, I figured I'd play around with the sauce and see what happens. First, I brined the shrimp for 4 hours. They are in there:

Then, I got some fix-ins together, cilantro, green onions, mushrooms and peanuts:

I put some lite rub on the shrimp and let it sit in the fridge. Probably a wasted step in all honesty. With the fix-ins, I sauteed them olive oil and soy sauce. Came out pretty good:

I got a little lazy and just fired up the gasser and did the shrimp indirect at 350 degrees. It works and doesn't take long as you know:

Finally got it all plated up and served. The Mrs. said it's a keeper and she's not a shrimp fan so I guess I did ok:

Thanks guys, I enjoy the classics but I also enjoy playing around and trying new stuff.

This one worked but that's not always the case. I don't post those

Makes me wish the rest of the house didn't run and hide when I pull out the Sriracha. :-(

I guess so, Kung Pao basically means "with peanuts" so it's a very broad definition. I guess the mushrooms and green onions are nothing new to stir fry but for me, the cilantro was. It worked well.

The sauce comes from the thread I did/referenced for the wings where I listed the recipe.

Give the sauce a shot and see what you think.
