Here's the alder I cut last month. Used some of the thinner splits for salmon tonight, and it was good.
I've also got a couple of grapevines. What are they good with?
Grapevine works with pork or beef, for sure. Heck if you like the scent try it with anything/everything.
As with any "new" technique start with a litte bit and see how you like it.
