I used to use disposable foil pans a lot when I cooked. Now that I've moved to the Philippines, I've found that they are prohibitively expensive here.

Do any of you do use other things besides these pans?

You could use stainless hotel pans and line them with foil for easier cleanup.

Ditto what Jorge said.
They will cost you some up $$ front, but that is the end of the expense.

I have several real SS ones I use on occasion.
The outside is smokey brown now, but I do not care.
Inside cleans up easy if you PAM them first.
Or line with foil like Jorge recommended.

NOTE--they will cook "hotter" than the disposables because they transfer heat so much better. Just watch them close till you adjust to the higher heat.

Good Luck.

They have those aluminum pans at the 99 cent store, 3 - 5 dollers cheaper. Way better then the major stores.

Hotel pans are the way to go. I have several I picked up at auction.

When you guys say "hotel pans", do you mean steam table pans?

I don't think there are many 99 cent stores in the Phillipines :-D

Kuya... If you use the hotel pans you can also buy plastic liners for them that are heat proof to 400 degrees. They are a bit of a pain to get into the pan, but save a lot on cleanup! Search for Pan Savers. You may be able to find them at a restaurant supply store if those exist over there.

Those are cool. Thanks for the tip!
