Look what I got for cooking some Q for friends. It a mix of seasoned Red and White Oak. Yay! :-P

Nice score oak is a great all around smokin wood. You'll be happy with it. I just picked up a whole apple tree and am thrilled.

I use a lot of Oak. Mild flavor and good btu's. Nice reward for you!

I use it too many because it comes from my winter firewood supply:tongue:

90% of my offset cooking is done with seasoned oak. You done good!

Oak make good grill steaks. Wish you guys was close by , I can get all the free wood I want just have to pick it up. i get all my hickory from a furniture factor and my BIL is a logger, can gey lot of oak from him.

Oak is very good for fish. Here they use oak for smoking fish (eel) for a couple of centuries!
