Picked it up Saturday. Fired it up as soon as we got it off the tailor. Cooked on it Sunday and holy Cr*p. We have been working towards Catering and Vending. Made a call today and was able to get in a market for next Sunday. So we are off and running faster than we thought. Just wanted it to be said, Thanks for all the help from everyone we have talked to and all the help this site has to offer.

Cool, I saw one in person for the first time earlier this month. With the door open they look huge on the inside.

Backwoods smokers were used by a good deal of the top 9 teams in Memphis in May. I think I heard/read something that the top 3 shoulder teams used them....including the Grand Champion.

I love mine.

You are going to Love it !
.
Just sold one a couple of months ago to a Doctor who competes for fun and he has called me several times raving about his finish products coming off the Piglet.

I would like to see someone standing next to the smoker to give an idea on the size of this. It looks awesome.

BWS make several different models (they've even been known to make a custom sized smoker).

Well there you have it, I was WAAAYY off, thinking to much in the name. I thought it was a little smoker, thanks for the pics.

KC Bobby, are you talking about the BarbeQlossal here in Des Moines? Or in your neck of the woods.

In DM.

Backwoods has 2 or 3 larger models then the Piglet.

I am looking at this same model now and would like to know how you have enjoyed it over the last year or so. Also, what are the PRO's and CON's? What options did you get, what do you feel are must have, nice to have and not needed? If you have any additional pictures that you could post, I would love to see it in action.

Sure. They are removeable, so you have options.

BWS is a nice outfit. They will build to suit (extra shelves, etc.).

Check out almost every BBQ competition and you're sure to see quite a few BWS. :-P I think 2010 Memphis in May most of the 9 finalists were using BWS.

5 out of 9 were, and I know of 1 team that did pretty well with them:)!

Backwoods are a major step up from a barrel type cooker (not dissin', we cooked on barrels for years). But just like any cooker they have some pro's and cons.
