Once you build it and use it, you'll wonder how you lived without one before...
Looking forward to your build pix.....

yeah i was shocked. i was hoping for 60$ but oh well

I am making a step by step tutorial for my website for a KISS smoker. Maybe ill paint KISS on there. I like that band.

any way i will take tons of pictures for the tutorial and make sure it is easy to follow. I will also have at the end of the tut. options to add such as ball valve.

This one will have 9 inches clearance from cooking rack to lid. Ill see if i can make it 10 but that will leave me 24 inches for coal rack and firebasket which is cutting it close BUT this thread:http://bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?p=678721 he was able to get away with 16 inches with out burning his food. So i am going to shoot for 16 inches as well.

Great looking drum there. I would love to find a nice unlined drum used or new to work with. Where did you get yours?

I wouldn't even know where to look around here. I know the farm supply places around here do not have them because I called them looking for new or used when I was hunting for mine.

Good luck on your build.

And, it isn't lined with all of that toxic liner stuff either.

ive got issues. I know its called an UGLY drum smoker but i want mine to be cool, stylish and simple. For example, i really like how cowgirl did her exhaust covers for her UDS. I just have to figure out what will ook stylish. Maybe i need to pay a visit to the harley shop and see what hey have.

Oh and will 4 1/2 holes be large enough for air intakes or not really?

thanx

I can get them from Dayton Industrial Drum. Anywhere from 5 gallon to 110 gallon. 55 new is $65 bucks. My reconditioned one was 35 plus ten for the spare lid I got.
