Recently I came across a good deal on a medium sized smoker off of Craigslist, and was pretty pleased when I found the price was going to be $180. It's 3/8" steel with a 18" by 18" firebox and about a 42" cooking surface.

Last night I decided to fire my new mistress up to see what exactly she was going to do and how much fuel it was going to take to keep a good 225-250 temp. I threw together a fatty stuffed with cream cheese, green and red bell pepper and some onion and rolled it in my rub and brown sugar. Yum Yum!

This morning I woke up early and started burning some sticks and threw on some briskets and rib racks. No prep pics, but the briskets were injected 30 hours ago and slathered in mustard and rubbed this morning. This is about three hours into the burn.

I was having trouble running it on sticks alone so I threw in some charcoal. Seems I am throwing in about 2 footlong sticks 3-4" in diameter every 30 mins or so to keep a good temp. When I threw in the charcoal and some "extra" wood I ended up overheating the thing and some ribs seem to be cooking too fast and I got some char on one of the racks. :(

I'm not so sure. I'll PM you my mailing address and I'll let you know if it's good or not ...

I might require further shipments to ensure a quality review. :)
