UDS BBQ in Western NY - finally- pics

Well finally the weather broke here in Western NY. I finally got a day where I could have a good day of bbqing. Day started out at 22 degs with a weatherman promise of 43 degs. I figured why not do a bunch in the UDS. What was on the menu? I had gathered up stuff on sale last week. The lineup - Canadian bacon,pork butt,beer butt chicken, 1 st time fattie,and BB ribs. Fattie ingredients- 2 -16 oz Bob Evans sausage, 1/2 lb bacon, Yancy Fancy roasted garlic cheddar cheese, green onions, and parm cheese. Rub used on all was Famous Dave's. I used Mali's lump and a couple chunks of hickory and apricot wood (tree used to be in my yard) minion method.UDS temps were held between 200 and 250 degs. I guess there is one advantage of being unemployed. I am able to not wait for the weekend to have a whole day of bbqing. It rained later in the evening. OK enough rambling - here are the pics - hope its not too long. Thanks for all the information from the fine people of this forum.

You gotta love the "annual" pre-spring thaw in WNY! I cooked pork butt last week, and it took 18 hours to finish in the WSM due to single digit temps and howling wind. Don't worry, we're going to get several more weeks of deep freeze before the rainy season!

Nice!! it's going to be even nicer tomorrow over 50 but rain and i will take it. Just wish it would hold over the weekend when I break in the new Meadow Creek. Beer tastes much better when it not freezing in the bottle when your outside.
