I was just on the weber online store and ordered a Weber Slide Aside lid holder. It is no longer discontinued like I had seen before. I really like the lid holder on my SJP so I have been wanting this. Next up the work table and I'll have a cheapo performer!!! 20 bucks should be here next week. Just FYI since I know some people are just fine with the built in lid holder on their kettles. In case you are wondering what this is.

one of the best add ons from weber. all my kettles have one. i also got one for my brother inlaw. he loves it. the built in hooks are useless.

I wish they still made the platnium, this was a nice "in between" model from the kettle to the performer.

Not to be a punk but i think I just scored a blue "platinum" for $30 in great shape!! The real reason i am checking in is I had no idea what that ring was for :eusa_clap now i know...and feel pretty silly.

I think it is a platinum...basically a performer without the gas assist. Correct?

correct and no storage bin for coal/supplies. For $30 that is a major score. Esp Blue...post some pics if you get it
