Which Generator

Other than Honda do folks use or recommend? Based on experience, is a 70db rating "quiet" enough for your use? What wattage is too much or not enough? Thx.

Yamaha makes a very nice silent one. The EF2400 is very nice. around a grand brand new. There are a few around used that out of work detailers or contractors are selling. Check Cgraigslist

70db or less is very quiet.

What do you plan to use the gen for?
If only a coffee maker and a fan then you won't need anything over 1000 watts.
Overkill is preferred-you don't want to be underpowered.
