It's been wayyyyyyy too long since we cooked ribs just to eat them! These are the first non-competition ribs we've done since... ummmm... the end of the season. :icon_blush: So it was well overdue, and here they are!

To twist your own quote, This is exactly why we should have properly trimmed ribs sitting at ready, cuz ya never know when you'll need them...

I know, it's not really close to what you wrote in my thread, but I thought I'd let you know I read your comment.

Nice ribs!

Same old same old! Cooked on a WSM, I think I saw a bag of Kingsford out there, very light cherry wood, with RnQ Rockabilly Rib Rub and RnQ Eight-Bar Blues Sauce! Oh, and don't forget to overcook them a little http://www.divaherself.com/funny/shiner.gif

Very nice, I like to cook to eat instead of compete. Do I sense a new line of Rubs and sauces in the future? Good choice of names.

Beautiful ribs! Cooking for people who actually enjoy eating the food is important and far more satisfying than feeding judges.

Thanks for the compliment. Coming up with names for our rubs and sauces has been a product of finding creative ways to pass the time as the miles roll by on the way to and back home again from competitions.

It's amazing the things you'll come up with at 4:00AM with just 8 more hours of driving to go!

I could tell you about the "Dead Skunk Theory of Classic Blues" but that's another thread.

Curious as to where you purchased those fine looking bones? I've seen them somewhere before. Santa Barbara cut?

Hey Alexa and Vince,

The practice must be down a little if you guys want to cook and eat ribs. :-D and what's an AZ brother have to do to get a little sample of your rub and sauce???

Looks good by the way.

See you guys soon

Those are just standard-issue spares from Costco! St. Louis trim, just so that VQ wouldn't entirely forget his knife skills over the winter.

You have to go through the whole meat case to come out with those and sometime that does not work. :-D
