I meantion at the local coffee drinking spot yesterday that I need some cherry wood for smoking frind drop by with this nice load he cut it this morning.

He said he drop by in a few days to help me split it. In my opinion I live in the best community in the U.S.

Nice! I thought I scored when a friend dropped of the limbs trimmed from his apple tree. Must have only been a field goal:-D You scored a touch down:biggrin:

said he bring me some red oak when he went back to logging. Told me to place an order when I need a different kind of wood he try an find it.

Nice score. Have to drop that guy off a Brisket or Pork butt maybe some ribs.

I have a bunch of cherry, I don't use much of it when smoking, it'll over power your food.

Never had that problem with cherry. You must be soaking it in battery acid?

When the cherry is green it is pretty strong. When it dries it is very mild and one of my favorites.
