Has any one purchased any battery powered grill lights that you thought worked well? The Maverick LED light was one that I was considering.

With it getting dark so early now, thought one of these may be nice. Don't want to drag an extension cord thru the snow and then have to wipe clean and wrap up everytime I wanted to cook.

Gah! Are you guys going to sit around your smokers, sip tea, discuss the latest soap operas and knit doilies?

Guess I should have specified that I was looking for a light to illuminate
my food, not sear my food.

Thanks for all the responses.

I have one that attaches with magnets. The light it fine but the magnets suck. Make sure it clamps.

I typically use those LED cap lights and/or flashlight in the mouth.

I was at one of the local flea markets and found the cap lights for $2. I bought about a half dozen and gave a few to my friends. Folks went crazy over the things. It's a guy/gadget sorta thing I guess.

I got one of these to put at my deer feeder to hunt pigs, but plan on using it for other stuff too. They were marked down to 29.00 http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200365188_200365188
