View Full Version : How much wood?
Would you use in a large BGE? I am going to cook 2 butts tomorrow and want to add some of the cherry I got a few weeks ago to the Royal Oak lump I normally use.
Thanks guys

I would add several 1/2 fist sized chunks and some smaller chunks and chips spread throughout the coals. Do not over do it.

I do it this way, but chunks only. Be sure to spead them out and at different levels throughout the lump. I use chunks about 4 inches long and about 2 inches wide. I can work them into the lump fairly easy. Maybe 6 or so. Then a 1/2 fist sized on top. Usually about 2 handfuls or so total.
Thanks guys - appreciate the info.
