Here's the pictures of my trip to Savannah:

Got to here the story of Apollo 13 from Gene Kranz. What a fantastic man!

Giant container ships floated by the hotel everyday.

Got to eat at Lady and Sons

They put on quite a show for the hundreds of people waiting to eat. You show up some time during the day, check in with the hostess and they tell you what time to come back to eat.

The first night we tried to eat we arrived for dinner at 7:15pm. They had opened at 7:00pm. We were told our time to eat was 9:30pm. We didn't wait.

Got in for lunch the next day. Had to sit at the "bar" but it was close to the buffet.

First plate...

Had to have some mac & cheese too...

And a second helping of greens...

Real southern food. Those greens look great, almost raw. I'm sure they were tender but I have to ask, where they?

Mac and cheese is REAL. No question about it. From the way the cheese is clumped on the macaroni it looks like a lot of butter was added.

Im wondering the cost of the buffet, and what else they had to offer because I would pay a good amount for quality Southern food in bulk.

Aww man. That is one delicious lineup. I wouldnt take one item off of the list nor my plate.

Garlic cheese biscuits stand out to me, but that peach cobbler. I would have had about 3 1/2 servings of.

$15 is a good price with drink hopefully, and that would be sweet tea.

No Deans.

But there were bus loads of people waiting in line for 30 minutes or so to have their picture taken with a life size cut-out of Paula. (And just for the record, I didn't wait)

I'll pass on the hoe cakes. Just doesn't sound right.

Great place! Glad you were able to get in.

If anyone ever has the chance to be in Savannah for St. Patrick's Day you won't regret it! One of my favorite cities anywhere!

That is definitely a nice spread for that price. I have been wanting to make the trip down there, thanks Larry, for the added motivation.

Was in Savannah last year, and went to Lady & Sons for lunch also. Didn't need to eat for the rest of that day! Great city, great people, and great food. Lots of hospitality and some great nightlife down on River Street as well.
