it's been six days without power. this is not supposed to happen here. i'm patrolling the property with the 12 gage. at night, there are roaming packs of savages looking for something. looking for anything.

i have water, but it isn't safe and boiling prior to use is necessary. off in the distance i can hear gunfire... big guns... like they are shooting pumpkins or something. i can hear people screaming. it echoes through the trees.

Surreal. Third world country with no power, but the most delicious food ever.

actually, it's just the corn maze across the street, but it can be scary as hell sometime
especially, when there's no power

6 days, man I feel for you. Good thing you have a backup home. I have trouble when the power goes out for a few hours. Are you packing 00 Buckshot?

hey! yeah, i feel really fortunate to only have my power out with no other damage and to have the rv here to live in. it's pretty crazy up here... senior citizens picketing the utility company, people stealing the generators at the railroad crossings, scammers taking peoples money for roof repairs and tree removal and then running off.

a lot of the corn crop has been blown over so harvesting will be very difficult and expensive. we were watching the corn maze during the wind event and all the people in there had to scramble to get out because they were getting whacked in the head with the blowing corn stalks! absolutely incredible sustained wind of 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph. i was waiting for my barn roof to fly off

Hey Rick

We were coming home Sunday from up above Trotwood at my sons football game. Took us twice as long to get home to Middletown since Daimondmill was such a mess. Glad to see everything is ok.

we just got our power back last night at midnight here in north houston. Hope your not far behind bro. There were a huge number of out of state electrical company ppl working after Ike here in Texas from all over the nation - contracted out.

Wonder if Ohio sent us theirs

If so, thanks man  - and ... sorry dude
