First it was this little beauty last week:

http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i254/spydermike72/weber/IM000803.jpg

It has a date stamp of "M" on the lid and my good friend Harbormaster tells me that, that equates to a manufacuter date of 1990. The guy met me half way and I paid $75.00 for it, it was worth it to save the gas.

Then I am cruising through Craigslist last night and look what found its way home today:
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i254/spydermike72/weber/IM000800.jpg

It was bought brand new in 2006 and used approx 10 times and not used since, they have never used the igniter with it so I will have to try that out. They threw in the charcoal baskets for inside the kettle, and the cover, as well as another chimney!! Bonus  Paid $100.00 for this.

... and my good friend Harbormaster tells me that, that equates to a manufacuter date of 1990. I paid $75.00 for it. First, you're too kind Mike. Second, you stole that WSM. I paid double that for my last one and had to drive to Occonomowoc to get it.

I know which "other site" you were on and you beat SpyderMike to it by 15 minutes! (Yep, I read about it there and posted about it here).

Oh, and Mike, for $100 I would have bought that performer. That' a great score right there!

Man, I wish I could find good stuff on the local craigslist.

This did prompt me to take a look today (i usually check once every week or two) and found a weber bbq for free! Just listed today, and was already gone. The ad said "you can use it to smoke your meat".

I called, and it sounded like it was a WSM, the way she was describing the vents and said it had a pan above the coals. She really had no idea what she had, she was getting rid of it cause she was moving. Sounds like I missed it by about an hour

See that there's the problem. I check 5 Wisconsin cities about every 90 minutes to 2 hours. Good deals on Weber stuff don't last on CL.

Check early. Check often.

yeah, but here in Montana stuff doesn't change too often. There is maybe, one or two new posts a week. You pretty much look at the same items for a month or more.

there has been two weber 22.5" kettles for $10 each for the last three weeks. But, since this state is so sparse, the entire state is listed together so these things are a 4 hour drive, not really worth it.
