Hey guys, I am wanting to marinate a couple of steaks. Another package from this same bunch were a little on the tough side, so I am wanting a marinate that will help tenderize the steaks. I was wondering if you guys had any advice for this.

Pretty much the only marinade I would use on a steak is Yoshida's.

Stubb's beef marinade is pretty good. I also like their fiery chicken wing sauce.

Here is one I really like. You might try this.

Bourbon Street Steak

2 tablespoons yellow onion, diced
¼-cup bourbon
½-cup soy sauce
½-cup brown sugar
½- cup lemon juice
1 ½- teaspoons chopped garlic (about 2 cloves)

**If you want to ad a spicy bite to your steak, add ¼ tsp. of Cayenne Pepper

Mix onion, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and garlic in a small bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Place steaks in a large plastic zip loc bag large enough for them to be in a single layer. Pour marinade over steaks and seal the bag. Refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours. You may turn steaks occasionally. Remove steaks and discard marinade. Grill to desired doneness.
Yield: Makes 4 steaks.

I use Teriyaki sauce, generously sprinkled with coarsely ground black pepper, then reverse sear the critters.

My 1st question is what kind of steak :?:
I wouldn't Marinate a Rib Eye..
always Marinate London Broil..
here is a good start for you

Equal parts Coke A Cola
Itatian salad dressing..
both need to be the Real
deal no Diet or light..
Then I always add a bunch of
crushed garlic.. over night
I like to buy London Broil when
it's on sale and bring it home
make a marinate and the freeze
a bunch of the steaks in the marinate
you can play with is marinate in many many
ways
