Well not seeing the score sheets but just by my overall at GAB, I would say that parsly beds were part of the success. My wife did a great job making them and my MIL got me a case and lettuce and 1/2 case parsley at her store for a great price at the last second. Yea didn't really need a case of lettuce but heck $20 for all of it, it was a deal. I will just have a lot of salads in the next few days.

Pictures aren't great.

This was the open.

The pork was 22nd of 225.

I tried a new recipe for the first time. I tried a "new" injection.

It was nice to meet you and Char. Thanks for stopping by.

Great looking boxes, and I agree, that rib box is outstanding...9 all the way from me as well.

As boxes are my weakest link, among other things, I always "go to school" on pics as above.
Thanks for sharing and nice going all around.
(sorry 'bout the angry brisket.)

Clay, I love the pork and ribs. To me both 9's!

Looks delicious. It's nice to see how others are submitting their entries. Going into our fist competition in two weeks, I hadn't a clue what judges were looking for until I found this site. Great information all around. I've spent hours pouring through all the old posts I can find over the past few days and still have a lifetime ahead of me.

Yea the chicken looks like crap to me too. Bad color bad trim. They are not even in the boxes. We did fix the parsley on all of them before we shut it, but it was a gift to get 100. But I am my worst critic.

What type of finishing sauce / glaze did you use?
