i have only had it in a commercially prepared salsa, seems to be close to habaneros in heat level, not many recipes out there, but "Datil Mayonaise" looked good.

I have a friend from St. Augustine, FL who brings me Lynnwood's Original Datil Pepper Sauce(cures what ails you) and Datil Do It - all natural pepper jelly products... try it with cream cheese and crackers, as a condiment with lamb, venison,& fowl or peanut butter and Datil Pepper Jelly sandwiches. Yum!Yum!

Good stuff!
