View Full Version : Freaking ASWESOME Sale!!

So driving my kids to baseball Saturday morning, I hear on Radio that Ralph's has sale on rib eye. YES!!!! This is what I scored! Unfortunately, I started drinking the Newcastles pretty early, as I was finishing up my double barrel smoker, so I left steaks on a little too long, but they were still good. Also got to burn the smoker and get it ready for first cook to occur on Sunday (pron to follow). So, threw on a few rib eyes, and skewered some shrimp. Had a few freinds over, enjoyed some good steaks. There was also chicken, it was all grilled.

The deal:

Some skewered shrimp, grilled onions. (I ran out of peppers)

Like I said, almost a 12 pack of Newcastles in... Just a bit more well than medium, but still very very good.

After the Newcastles, I started on some Fat Tire. I was feeling no pain towards the end of the evening. Sunday morning however, well that was a different story.

I've notices lately that while everything else has been going up in price that beef has been going down.

The same boneless whole ribeye that I bought for about $8/lb back in September, and was $5.49/lb two months ago, was yet down again to $5.19/lb on Saturday.

Anybody know what's going on to bring the prices down? Or for how long they might stay down?
