Dinner tonight was my first try on the new gasser's rotisserie. As you can see, the chicky was just about done and falling off there. I roasted the potatoes under it, with all the juices basting the taters. I also made Thomas Keller style ratatouille, like how the rat made it in the movie; and ModelMaker's No Knead Bread, made with olive oil and rosemary. Thanks for posting that recipe, ModelMaker!

I got the idea from a trip to Paris a few years back and again in the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Street vendors had potatoes roasting right under the rotisserie chickens, soaking up all those yummy chicken drippings. The potatoes were heavenly. New potatoes and fingerlings are best, but I didn't have any. It's definitely something you all need to try out next time you use the rotisserie. And if you want gravy, simply take the taters out of the pan when its all done and proceed with the gravy making.
