Hi folks...we had a busy day today. Swamprb and I smoked up 21 racks of spare ribs and 5 dozen chicken thighs for my company. My wife did 30 lbs of potato salad and 10 lbs of cole-slaw (her recipes). We did the ribs on the WSM's and the thighs on my new drum. Here are a few pics.

Notice how shiny the drum is here...

That's gotta be killin' you! The drum is fugly now! Leave the lid off and it goes ballistic on you.

John, you did a great job, and it all came off without a hitch and lunch was on time-11:30 on the dot!!

People were drooling all morning from the smell of the cookers through the whole building.

The drum is gonna stay fugly too...I think it gives it character! We got a lot of compliments on the food...some folks said it was the best BBQ they've ever had. Thanks again for your help bro...see you Sunday!

Hey JD, you guys taking any applications?

Looks fantastic. The drum now had battle scars. Nice to see swamprb there too.

Where's the pron of the potato salad and slaw. I can eat slaw by the bowl full. My fav side dish.

Looks like a fun time had by all.

No doubt! I hate a clean grill or smoker. It just doesnt look right. Your drum looks perfect now.

Great job guys. And Mrs JD!

JD - I noticed the drum got a little hot is that due to the new firebasket and high temps for the chicken?

My wife and Swamp took most of the pics...and most of them were of people...not pron! I know...I know it's just wrong! Sorry no salad or slaw pics.

After the smoke I left the lid off and opened the vents so the charcoal would burn out...it got pretty toasty near the bottom of the barrel.
