After 3 long years, I am finally building my own Smoker for the house!!! For those of you who don't know, this is how it all started. I started building a smoker for myself and before I could finish it I had 2 or 3 sold. Never got caught up untill now . If I wanted to smoke something, I had to take the Double Axel Beast home. I will be adding a new feature that will hit the market in the next week or 2. It is an 18" x 24" x 1 3/4" Asian hardwood cutting board attachment that rests on the handle of the Spicewine cookers.

3 years is not bad. I purchased molding to trim out my house 11 years ago. Its all still neatly stacked in the basement. One these days......

Got mine on order. Looks to be a great addition and one needed. I hate placing things on the top of my cookers, so it is actually a multi tasker.

Congrats! It's been a long time in coming!

Of course now you'll need to have another mini-bash just to get the manpower to get it on your deck!

Spicewine, glad to hear you want to join the fraternity of drumheads!!!!!!!

Very cool side table.

I am trying to design one for my UDS and UDG that is removable but solid. Side tables are so handy. So far I got the table, I reglued together five pieces of the top of a wine barrel. Sanded smooth and varnished, very nice red wine stain already in place. Now to figure out the attaching part of the mod.

The tricks learned in the waiting period will surely make for a better unit for your home and the future productions. I admire the craftsmanship I have seen on those spicewine units. the cutting board is perfect as expected

great looking smoker. what about a height adjustable swing arm on the cuttingboard so meats can go straight from the grates to the board ??? :icon_blush:

You should put a sticker on it so you remember where you bought it

If there was ever anyone that deserves a Spicewine cooker.....it's you! I understand it will be similar to the Poobah custom version....minus the fire in the cooker chamber.
I know a guy who makes a pretty mean brisket that would help break in the maiden.(or if Baggs can't make it, I'll step in....LOL)

Spice,
I have been pondering something along the lines of your cutting board for my UDS for several weeks but the method I came up with was not to good. Is yours just heavy enough to be good and stable or is there something in the pic that does not show up?
Now I am thinking about using two small handles separated by about 10-12 inches for the vertical legs to slide into on the order of yours. Handles like the orange one, which I can only get two fingers in.

The side table I made out of a wine barrel top and the brackets are bolted to the UDS. I like the idea of a removable side table.

Got to remember the Spice box has that side handle to mount the cutting board on
Very stable
This will be great at competitions

Barbarian

I know, that is why I am thinking two handles for the frame to slide into like Spices does but on the side of a UDS.

Like they say a carpenter always live in the worst house or a plumber always have leaks.
. . . or a computer guy's kid has a slow computer . . .

Congratulations on finally taking care of yourself!
(on the other hand, I can't imagine what your UDS would look like!)

He might have to add a little door in the firebox just the size of a set of tongs so you can add one briquette at a time...
