Well, didn't make it Friday but blackened up two ribeyes for dinner tonight. Talking so much about kosher salt, pepper and garlic, that is what I used for the rub with EVOO and a smidge of mesquite for smoke. This is becoming my favorite way to do steaks.

Looking good, just had ribeyes at a restaraunt but they didnt look like that.

I thought to past the pics directly but then figured that would be a lot to load for slow internet hook ups, so did the links.

Looks fantastic. Does that shade cover just float above the egg set up?


It's a canterliever umbrella. Behind the open egg is the pole. This way no center poll to mess with. It's 10x10.

Where did you eat Bro? I have a hard time finding restaurant steaks that are as good as I can make.

Very nice looking steaks tjv. You have a winning combination there. I too love the mesquite.

BTW That is one great looking gate you have there too.

I'm gonna drive up and park outside your gate with my windows down so I can go home smelling good!

I'm gonna check into one of tem there umbrella's. Was gonna do a que shack, but don't want to jack with the HOA.
