We had a family housewarming yesterday. Actually, it was a Home Depot warming party. WE told folks not bring art or a potted plant. Just bring a Home Depot gift card because that's what we really need. This was a small one just for family. We're gonna have a bigger one for friends in a few weeks.

I did my brisket experiment and it came out really good. I liked the flavor but it was over cooked. No matter because the family likes it that way.

Good looking stuff Mista. Did you inject a second time on your brisket?

Looks pretty good. From the pictures I'm assuming the experiment was the "re-injected" brisket. Do you think the "re-injection" attributed to the over cooking?

Glad it worked for you! So, what was your excuse for the overcooked meat?:rolleyes:

I think the second injection boosted the flavor. Over cooking was just me pulling at 195. I was just busy making the red beans and coleslaw and pulling time slipped past me.

Fun part is I get to do it all over next weekend. MrsMista's sister passed earlier this year and the family wanted to have one last birthday party for her. I get to practice even more!
