my hat is off to you. I did this cook, 6 butts, approximately 50 pounds this past weekend in my new xl egg. Never knew adding a couple more pieces to a cook was so much more work. I truly commend you on pulling it off time and time again.

I think the neighbors are going to love this bigger egg, already have offers from them to supply the next cook......

They look good to me! Out of curiousity - did you rotate from top to bottom and vice versa during the cook?

For those of you that don't know, Tom has designed some very useful accessories for Eggs. His site is www.eggaccessories.com.

It's all about temps when you max out your cooker. Great looking butts!!

I was going to ask what the size of my girlfriend had to do with this thread...until I actually read more than just the title! ;)

thanks all for the kind words on the cook.

Yes, one needs to rotate or turn during the cook. The meat (butts) underneath get dripped on from atop which makes bark formation difficult but then helps on basting.

Yes, it's a grid holder I designed for the xl. It flips over for more set-up options.

Thanks for the tip of the hat. The most we've fed is 1200 people at once.
