Bought a case of ribs and cooked them all. Some for us and rest for work. Cooking them was a pain due to very high wind. Had temp issues and believe the Rancher might have gotten some moisture from recent rains. All-in-all it came out.

Wind problem?
What are you cooking on?

That is great looking grub--no sign of wind damage there!

I cooked on Spicewine. Wind with it wasn't the problem. Trouble was since charcoal might of had moisture it wasn't running hot enough. i have been using charcoal ring in unit which usually works fine. Wind was so bad it actuallly mover the spice. If I opened up vent to raise temp I had ash swirls. I tried to light additional chimneys and pour beside basket but that was a chore even with the chimney blaster I have. Like a bad day fishing, I toughed it out. Always something worse than Qing even under bad conditions.

Was thinking of doing some ribs for work as well. Question: How do you warm them up the next day? The consistency always seems to change with mine the next day.

Cheers

I work graveyard shift. I cook and we eat our family meal and I cooler, take nap and then off to work. We have used our electric UDS to hold food also.
